X Games X Recap...
When one thinks of dirtbikes at this years X Games, three names come to mind: Nate Adams, Chuck Carothers, and Jeremy McGrath.  In these three names you find gold, gold, and gold, and it took three of the most spectacular performances ever to get these golds.  First with Nate Adams, who used to be considered the "bridesmaid" of freestyle motocross, always getting second even with awesome tricks and sick performances, who knew he was having an out-of-the-ordinary year when he won gold at the Gravity Games.  But when Travis Pastrana, previously undefeated in X Games Freestyle Comp. crashed while attempting to perform a 360 in the qualifiers and mashed his face taking away half of his sight, things were looking pretty good for Adams.  In the final round he pulled off a perfect 360, and Pastrana couldn't compete as well as normal, allowing Nate Adams to take gold.  Before that earlier in the week Pastrana looked hot in the Big Air comp. with a one-handed 360, but he was stifled (and yet proud for this youngster) when Chuck Carothers pulled of a "body variable", litterally leaving his bike, twisting his body around in mid air, and landing back on the bike.  Jeremy McGrath, the former Supercross champ and all time hero, pulled off gold in a spectacular show down in the Step Up comp., his first X-Games appearance ever.  One thing is for sure, this was the best X Games ever.  Keep on trucking boys...
